Now is the time to start taking care of your needs.

You’re overwhelmed with anxiety and self-doubt.

Negative thoughts, worries, and “what ifs” just won’t stop, and it’s all getting in the way of your daily life, your relationships, and your ability to just be you.

You have a ton of responsibilities pulling you in every direction. And it feels like there are so many expectations on you - friend, daughter, partner, neighbor, student, coworker, etc. - and to be good (maybe even perfect) at all of them! You can feel the stress, frustration, and burnout coming on fast.

You often compare yourself to others, which leaves you feeling worse. Maybe your self-worth is even based on that comparison to others and you haven’t yet discovered how amazing, important, and worthy you are just for being you.

On top of all of that, as a young adult, you’re going through so many changes. Breakups, makeups, moving out, moving in with new people, maybe living on your own for the first time, graduations, new jobs, and so many more! The uncertainty and inconsistency of it all can feel unbearable at times.

All of this has left you feeling tired mentally, emotionally, and physically, and you think “There has to be a better way!”

You just want someone to listen to you without judgment. You want to understand yourself and to feel understood, to gain control and be freed from the overwhelming anxiety and self-doubt you are feeling. You want to calm your mind and body, find balance, have better relationships, and feel better about yourself.

And you can find all of this and more with the support, compassion, and effective techniques that I can provide in our work together.

What makes me different?

I bring the human side to therapy with humor, no judgment, and an abundance of compassion (so much compassion!), while using a relaxed, conversational, and real style.

I have the education / training to be your therapist, but I strongly believe you are the expert of your life. I take a role of guiding and supporting you, never a director or expert.

I also use a holistic approach by addressing mind and body, which I believe is important to wellness and healing.

My clients express appreciation for my conversational style and note that my down-to-earth and compassionate personality shines through in my therapy approach.

You can learn more about my therapy style and approach in this blog post.

Together, we will…

  • Build a strong, genuine connection between me and you

  • Have therapy sessions catered to your goals, wants, and needs

  • Focus on your strengths, create understanding, and explore healthy solutions

  • Use various techniques, including talk therapy, walking sessions, mindfulness, reframing of thoughts, somatic exercises, and self-compassion skills

  • Create a plan that feels meaningful and doable for you to help achieve your goals, growth, and healing

I see you, I hear you, and I understand.

Being a young woman in our world and in our culture today is not easy.

Everything mentioned at the top of this page and more that often comes with being a young woman can lead to new or increased anxiety, a b*tchy inner-critic, stress, and difficulty coping with it all.

But you can overcome these challenges with support!

I’ve experienced the anxiety, stress, attempt at healthy life balance, and other difficulties that come along with being a young woman, a student, and a professional. I’ve also been able to work through and manage these difficulties with personal growth work, education, and my own wonderful therapist.

With this personal experience, along with professional experience working with others experiencing similar difficulties, I am passionate about offering the support and guidance that will allow you to feel heard and understood and make changes that can help you live more freely, confidently, and successfully moving forward.
